A visual interpretation of Sappho's fragment 31 (translated by Anne Carson), to touch the sky with two arms, is a short film about lovesickness and the body's strong physical and emotional reaction to a loved one.
and emotional reaction of the body to the loved one. It is a dialog with the ancient Greek poet, a research and analysis of feelings, movements and words. The fire is a metaphor for the feelings Sappho has for the woman she loves - burning with jealousy, love and pain - but also an element that appears in the text and in other fragments by the poet.
