Fragility can be beautiful, delicate, complicated or subtle: a dry leaf, a spider's web, paint peeling off a wall, a hand-drawn line. The word resonates with emotion and the experience of its essence, but also a social judgment: flawed, vulnerable, morally weak, disturbed. Ultimately also the fragility of society itself.
