Personal exploration of the definition and symbology of farm animals through classic children
tales and animal husbandry. From childhood we humanise animals through language, it is the
way we deal with what separates us from them, but in reality it only abstracts them even
more. We turn them into a projection, into cultural concepts, into the protagonists of our
mythology, while we use them in everyday life.
The video is composed by images recorded at Domäne Dahlem, drawings and words that try to
portrait thoughts on matter, food, land, cartoons and rituals.
