Endometriosis is a chronic gynecological disease in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus. These cysts often cause severe pain in those affected, which can occur both cycle-dependent and cycle-independent.
In this project, the pain as described by endometriosis sufferers is visualized in an abstract way. The aim is to improve communication and understanding with outsiders and at the same time raise general awareness of the issue.
The film illustrates that the effects of this disease are extremely individual for those affected. A variety of feelings and emotions are portrayed, ranging from suffering and despair to belief in one's own strength, which continues to grow through the ongoing battle.
