The work "Perception" is a video installation that deals with the subjective "perception" of nature in daily life, questions the homocentric view on nature and places the subject, who attempts to categorize all perception, in the center. The aquarium symbolizes the power of a man to shape the nature at will. The screen, which functions only by being wrapped in plastic film, thus reflects the imagined superiority of human beings. The video is split at the water surface. The upper area of the image symbolically shows the constructed world and the area below the surface, the psychic sphere. The breaking open of the hard boundaries aimed at by the work is intended to trigger a parallel confrontation with the question of conscious and unconscious reality.
