"It feels so strange / shameless to think / of death when none of those / one knows has died" writes the Danish poet Inger Christensen in "Poem about Death", which deals with the impossibility of writing about death and makes it possible by recognizing it. Inspired by the coal animation technique of William Kentridge, the film attempts to give the taboo subject of death a neutral space and create more presence in our consciousness from an observant, curious attitude.
Poem: „Poem about Death“ von Inger Christensen (1935-2009)
Lyrics/music: Agnes Obel
