The video performance deals with the reactionary ideology of traditional)wives. They glorify the past and flee into the old gender roles of the 1950s. Their content plays with a longing for non-work, quiet motherhood and country life. Women from mostly rich Mormon families correlate with a conservative right-wing agenda. They perform and monetize their lifestyle as an easy solution to our patriarchal society.
