The video essay features ceremonies from live stream broadcasts from 2020, recorded during Germany's nationwide curfew. Here, traditional rites such as weddings, church services and graduation ceremonies, which are about promises of love, closeness, security, closeness to God and community, stand in extreme contrast to the new forms of behavior triggered by the Corona pandemic.
