Stini Röhrs is a director and photographer renowned internationally for her work in both the artistic and applied fields of moving images. She has both practical and theoretical training, which is reflected in her conscious and reflective approach to the medium—both conceptual and empathetic. After earning her bachelor's degree in "Art, Music, Media: Organization and Mediation" at Philipps University Marburg, she obtained a master's degree in Art History with a minor in "Dance Studies and Performance Theory" at FU Berlin.

She studied Visual Communication at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) and the Pratt Institute in New York City. In the class for transmedia design under Fons Hickmann, she completed both her bachelor's and master's degrees with a focus on photography and moving images.
Her independent projects explore contemporary culture, questions of identity, the body, and personal spaces, as seen in the film After Dark, a collaboration with Ellen Allien. In the applied field and its intersections with experimental film, she has realized numerous productions, particularly for international fashion labels and globally leading companies such as Apple, Adidas Y3, Mercedes, Berluti, Chanel, Hugo Boss, JW Anderson, Moncler, Mulberry, Vogue, and Zeitmagazin. She has collaborated with numerous personalities, including Naomi Campbell, Roger Federer, Future, and Gigi Hadid.

Her artistic work has been exhibited at prestigious venues such as Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin, Manifesta in Zurich, Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Video Art & Experimental Film Festival in New York City, cementing her international recognition in the art world. In 2022, she won the award for Best Experimental Film at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival for After Dark. She has also created experimental film works in theater and opera, including productions for Schauspiel Leipzig and the Staatsoper Berlin.

Between 2020 and 2024, she taught at universities such as HFG Offenbach, Burg Giebichenstein Halle, HTW Berlin, and UdK Berlin. Since October 2024, she has been a guest professor for moving image design at the Berlin University of the Arts.
